LOWELL, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Lowell men’s hockey coach Blaise MacDonald has been suspended indefinitely by the school after his arraignment in Lowell District Court Monday on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol.

MacDonald was arrested by police Friday evening in Chelmsford, Mass., after he was found sleeping in a running car in front of a condominium complex, according to records obtained by the Lowell Sun. The records showed that MacDonald registered a .23 and .25 on two different Breathalyzer tests. The legal limit in Massachusetts is .08.

MacDonald’s seven-year record at UMass Lowell is 85-109-28.
