MONTPELIER, Vt. – The state Public Service Board has postponed a hearing on the alleged release by telephone companies Verizon and AT&T of customer information under the White House’s warrantless wiretapping program.
Alarmed by reports about the National Security Agency program last year, the state of Vermont sought last year to find out whether the two companies violated any state laws by providing information to the federal government.
