BANGOR – A Blue Hill woman was summoned Thursday for failing to stop at a red light and driving after her license had been suspended after she ran a red light and struck a car driven by an elderly Bangor woman, according to police.

The 2003 Volkswagen Golf driven by Susan A. Hughes, 54, struck the driver’s side of the Chevrolet driven by Arlene A. Myshrall, 88, of Bangor about 4 p.m.

Myshrall was turning left from Buck Street onto Main Street, according to Bangor police, when Hughes, who was traveling south, ran the red light.

Both women were taken to local hospitals, according to police, but no information about them was available.
