BANGOR – The Dead River Co. convenience store at 395 Main St. in Bangor has announced it will be home to the first franchise location of Chester’s International fried chicken in the Northeast.

Many of Dead River’s convenience stores already offer Chester’s fried chicken, but the Main Street store is now eligible for marketing and additional support provided by Chester’s, as well as an updated menu. The new menu will include onion rings, cut and battered on location, and fried haddock sandwiches rather than catfish, according to a press release.
