FRANKFORT – The Frankfort Congregational Church will be hosting the “Halos and Hammers” Mission Team from Southbury, Conn., United Church of Christ this week.

The mission team is made up of 67 students and chaperones who are journeying to Waldo County to perform work for people needing a little help.

Some of their projects this year are painting interior rooms, installing insulation under floors, replacing windows and siding, installing a bathroom, replacing gutters, painting trim and stacking wood.

They will be supervised by a general contractor, several artisan chaperones and local professionals.

While these young missionaries are in Maine, they will be hosted and fed by several denominations: Frankfort Congregational Church, North Searsport United Methodist Church, Elm Street Congregational Church in Bucksport, Hampden Congregational Church and Hampden Highlands United Methodist.

Call the Frankfort church with questions at 223-5762.
