ORRINGTON – The Curran Family Homestead on Fields Pond Road will hold two days of summer fun with an Olde-Fashioned Country Fair from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, followed by events from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 22, to participate in the State of Maine Open Farm Day.
Saturday begins with a 7 a.m. birding tour with Judy Markowsky of the Maine Audubon’s Fields Pond Nature Center. Participants must pre-register and the event is limited to 15 people.
There also is a breakfast on the farm prepared by chef Wayne Killam and the kitchen crew. Preregistration also is required to attend the breakfast.

Farm tours, blacksmith, weaving, and spinning demonstrations, a living history storyteller and tractor-drawn hayrides will be held both days, in addition to lunchtime barbecues with live music entertainment. Lunch is $3 for children under 12-years-old and $6 for all others.
