Aerus, MovingMe split doubleheader

HERMON – Nate Ellis singled and stole second base in the sixth inning and Chris Whitney drove him in with a single to lead Aerus Electrolux past MovingMe.com 5-4 in Sunday Bay League baseball action. MovingMe.com took the second game 5-1.

In the first game, Randy Renaud hit a two-run triple for Aerus Electrolux. Ellis had three singles and two runs scored and Whitney added three singles and an RBI.

Ryan Logan and Jeff Seggio each had two singles and an RBI for MovingMe.com. Eric Schwab hit an RBI double.

In the second game, Logan doubled and singled to drive in two runs for MovingMe.com. Brad Goody and Schwab both added two singles and an RBI.

Mark Farnham led Aerus Electrolux with an RBI single and Andy Treadwell singled and scored a run.

Montville wins two

At Searsport, with Montville trailing 2-1 in the seventh inning, Matt Nickerson hit a two-run single to lead Montville past Freedom General 3-2 in the Sunday’s second game. Montville also won the first game 3-2.

In the first game, Nate Hall allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while striking out 12 for Montville. Mike Cummons had two singles and an RBI. Wade Oliver hit an RBI single and George Tripp doubled.

Kenton Spaulding knocked in a run on a sacrifice fly for Freedom General.

In the second game, Roland Littlefield and Hall both doubled and singled and scored both seventh-inning runs for Montville. Andy Pooler allowed two runs on two hits and two walks while recording 13 strikeouts.

Nick Arthers singled and scored a run for Freedom General and Paul Herman singled.
