BAR HARBOR – David Hawkins of the Natural Resources Defense Council is scheduled to lecture on natural diversity and the human role in conservation at College of the Atlantic on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Hawkins, director of NRDC’s Climate Center, will speak at COA’s Gates Center at 4:15 p.m. The talk will be followed by a discussion of the topic.
Tickets cost $25, with proceeds supporting Charlotte Rhoades Park Butterfly Garden, Turrets Seaside Garden, and Wild Gardens of Acadia, all located on Mount Desert Island.
