BELFAST – Nick Arthers hit a grand slam in the third inning to lift the Freedom Generals to a 4-3 win over Montville in Bay League baseball action Monday.

Arthers added a single while Howard Whitcomb singled for the winners.

Greg Thayer paced Montville with a two-run homer and a single while Matt Nickerson doubled.

At Presque Isle, Hunter Caron and Tom Desjardins each had two hits during a 13-run third inning as the Patriots concluded their regular season with a 20-hit attack.

Caron had a three-run homer and a single in the third inning and also had an RBI triple in the game. Desjardins had a pair of singles in the third and collected a three-run homer and another single to go with it.

Bennett Cassidy had three singles and two RBIs and Pat Thibodeau had two singles and two RBIs.

Tyler Thompson had a two-run homer for Lincoln, Corey Barnett had a solo homer and a single, and Tyson Tash had a pair of singles.
