BANGOR – A benefit soccer game for current and former Bangor High School girls soccer players will be held in memory of Danielle Marie Thompson, a 2003 Bangor High graduate and Rams soccer player who died Jan. 3 after a brief illness.

The game will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17, at Bangor High. Admission will be free, however, donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go to the Danielle Marie Thompson Scholarship Fund. There will also be a silent auction during the game.

Alumni who wish to participate should register by Aug. 3. To register, email Kristan Strout at strout@fas.harvard.edu. A $20 participant fee will go to the scholarship fund and includes a T-shirt. Checks should be made payable to Pam Tweedie, care of Danielle Marie Thompson Scholarship Fund, 21 Fifteenth Street, Bangor, Maine, 04401. For more information call Pam Tweedie at 947-7245.
