BLUE HILL – The Beth Wright Cancer Resource Center is looking for bike riders and volunteers for the 2007 Blue Hill Peninsula Ride for Life on Sept. 8.

Riders are asked to obtain sponsors for their ride in an effort to help reach the goal of raising $10,000 this year. Proceeds from the ride benefit the center and the free services it provides to people living with cancer, their families and friends.

The event features several different rides ranging in length from five miles to 100 miles, all on scenic roads in the Blue Hill Peninsula area. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, provide aid stations along the course, drive support vehicles and work on the barbecue that follows the ride.

For information, to register or volunteer, contact Michael Reisman at the Beth C. Wright Cancer Resource Center, 3 High St., Ellsworth, or call 664-0339.
