Summer sippers

Kids and grown-ups alike can chill out with Texas Roadhouse’s two new specialty beverages: Strawberry Cowboy Cooler and Cherry Limeade. Strawberry puree, lemonade and cranberry juice come together in the Strawberry Cowboy Cooler, which is topped with a lemon wedge and a cherry and served in a frosted mug. Cherry Limeade combines fresh-squeezed lime juice, grenadine, cherries and Sprite, and also comes in a frosted mug. Stew-pendous

Hancock Gourmet Lobster Co. has done it again. Its Cundy’s Harbor Lobster Stew took top honors in the Outstanding Soup, Stew, Bean or Chili category at the National Association of Specialty Food Trade’s 2007 Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. Nearly 3,000 specialty food products in 30 categories were judged during the international competition. “The stew is made using our traditional Maine family recipe as the foundation,” company president Cal Hancock said in a press release. “We put a whole lobster in every quart and they are huge chunks.” Hancock also won the gold in 2003 for its Pemaquid Point Lobster Pot Pies and was a finalist in 2005 for its Nubble Light Lobster Wellington.
