New barber shop

BREWER – E.B. “Sonny” Newcomb welcomes new and former clients to the new Norumbega Barber Shop in Brewer.

Located at 88 S. Main St. across from the Save a Lot Store, the shop offers plenty of off-street parking and modest prices, Newcomb said.

Regular business hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday. A small retail section offers men’s accessories, grooming products and other items of interest to men.

Mustard Tasting Tour

BANGOR – Raye’s Mustard of Eastport will bring its Tasting Tour to the Bangor Waterfront during the American Folk Aug. 24-26.

Raye’s Mustard will be under the Taste of Maine tent during the three days of music, crafts, and food, hoping to find a perfect name for the latest mustard made at North America’s last remaining traditional stone-ground mustard mill. This particular condiment is made with the hot dog in mind.

The fourth-generation mustard mill is owned by Karen and Kevin Raye.

The Tasting Tour began in New York City in July; will continue on National Mustard Day, Aug. 4, at the headquarters in Eastport; and will wrap up with Eastport’s Pirate Festival and Salmon Festival, set for Sept. 7-9.

Investment conference

BREWER – Dale A. Tudor, a Modern Woodmen of America representative, participated in a three-day investment leaders conference at Modern Woodmen’s home office in Rock Island, Ill.

A select group of Modern Woodmen representatives were invited to the fraternal financial services organization’s headquarters to learn more about various retirement topics, brokerage accounts and Modern Woodmen’s Variable CustomLife product.

Founded in 1883 as a fraternal benefit society, Modern Woodmen of America celebrates its 125th year of serving members and their communities. The organization offers financial services and fraternal member benefits to individuals and families throughout the United States.

Regional sales manager

CUMBERLAND – Todd Jagoutz, a graduate of the University of Maine, has recently joined the Seafax, Inc. team as a regional sales manager. He is responsible for managing current customer accounts as well as creating new business accounts throughout the Northeast.

Jagoutz has a bachelor’s degree in business and a background in sales and marketing. While at the University of Maine, he was an All-ECAC punter for the Black Bear football team.

Seafax, Inc. is a Maine-based business information company specializing in financial, credit and marketing information for the food industry throughout North America.
