Birders are invited to join local birding enthusiasts and Midcoast Audubon volunteers Don Reimer and Bill Goodwill at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Weskeag Marsh for the Georges River Land Trust annual bird watch.

Participants should gather at the parking area on Buttermilk Lane, about 1 mile south of Route 1 in South Thomaston, by 8 a.m.

The Georges River Land Trust also plans hikes on the Georges Highland Path and its annual meeting Aug. 19 at the Martinsville Grange.
