WISCASSET – Pro Stocks returned to Wiscasset Raceway after a three-year absence Saturday night and Hallowell’s Johnny Clark pulled away late in the race to take the checkered flag in the 50-lap feature.
Pro Stocks were eliminated in the summer of 2004 with then-owner Dave St. Clair citing the high costs to the owners and drivers as the reason for his decision.
Doug White bought the track from St. Clair last month and reinstituted the Pro Stock class beginning Saturday night.
Sam Sessions of South Paris followed him across the finish line with Brunswick’s Scott Chubbuck, Trevor Sanborn of Parsonsfield and Billy Penfold of Yarmouth rounding out the top five in the 17-car field.

Oxford Plains Speedway
At Oxford, Wilton’s Leon Heckbert, who was running just his third race after ending his seven-year retirement, took the lead on lap five and led the rest of the way to win the 40-lap Late Model race Saturday night.
Travis Adams of Canton was second and rounding out the top five in the 26-car field were Glen Luce of Turner, Carey Martin of Denmark and Otisfield’s Don Wentworth.

PASS South
At Braselton, Ga., Boothbay’s Corey Williams won his third straight Pro All-Stars Series South Division race, the Saturday of Speed 150-lapper at Lanier National Speedway in Braselton, Ga.
It was his third win in four starts this season.
Preston Peltier of Concord, N.C., was second with Joey Senter of Jefferson, Ga., Jason Hogan of Cleveland, Ga., and Heath Hindman of Signal Mountain, Tenn., rounding out the top five.
Winterport Dragway
At Winterport Saturday, Jerry Hatch of Lubec captured the Super Pro/Pro final, beating Don Barnes of Calais.

Speedway 95
At Hermon, Glenburn’s Steve Moulton took the lead from Orrington’s John Kalel II, who had led the first 34 laps, on the lap 35 restart and went on to win the 50-lap Super Street Series race.
Moulton, who was on the inside groove on the restart, also captured the three-race CAM II Racing Fuels series by two points over Kalel thanks to the victory.
Milford’s Joe Legere was third with Franklin’s Mike Overlock and Greg Pung completing the top five.
