Apology for break-in

In late April, I was involved in a break-in at Maine Military Supply in Brewer during which several guns were taken. I would like to apologize for any worry, fear or trouble to the residents of Brewer or Bangor and anyone with children attending Brewer or Bangor schools. If my child was going to either of these schools and I saw that weapons had been stolen – what with certain events in the last several years – I would be terrified. I am sorry for any lost sleep on your parts. I never meant for anyone to be injured, and I am glad no one was.

I would also like to apologize to the Sheriff’s Department, the local and state police officers and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms for the tireless hours that they put into the investigation. I have met representatives from each of these branches of law enforcement, and I can honestly say that most of them are very fine men.

Once again, I am deeply sorry.
