DIXMONT – The Dixmont United Methodist Church will hold its monthly public fellowship breakfast from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Dixmont Gold Crest Riders Snowmobile Clubhouse, on Cates Road.
The breakfast buffet will kick off the church participation in the Dixmont Bicentennial Week. Pastor Chuck Langbein will participate in the opening ceremonies at noon Sunday, Aug. 19. The historic church at Dixmont Corner will be open to the public daily during Bicentennial Week.
A free concert will be held 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, at the Dixmont United Methodist Church featuring Modern Day Jeremiah, a Christian rock band from the East Orrington Congregational Church and the Skyliners Dance Orchestra, featuring jazz and big band.
