MovingMe nips Generals on Nadeau hit

HERMON – Marcus Nadeau drove in James Strout from second base on a one-out single in the eighth inning to lead MovingMe.com to a 5-4 victory over the Freedom Generals in the Bay League playoffs Friday.

MovingMe advances in the playoffs and will play Montville today at 9 a.m. in Hermon.

Brad Goody tied the game with two outs in the seventh inning with an RBI single for MovingMe. Eric Schwab hit a two-run single in the third inning and Greg Hawes had two singles and an RBI.

Shane Eddy led Freedom Generals with a three-run home run in the fourth inning.

Union Street 11, Dovetail 0

At Hermon, Andy Patterson allowed one hit and four walks while striking out eight to lead Union Street Cleaners to the shutout victory over Dovetail in the first round of the Bay League playoffs on Thursday.

Chad Lavway tripled, doubled and singled with three runs scored for Union Street Cleaners. Brian Perry singled twice and knocked in two runs and George Keefe added an RBI single and two runs scored.

Roy Burdin singled in the second inning for Dovetail’s lone hit.
