The state Department of Transportation advises drivers using the Stetson Road in Levant and Kenduskeag to allow additional travel time for the next two weeks.

“We need to replace three drainage pipes which run under the Stetson Road near the Call Farm. Because the pipes are so large, the most cost effective, efficient way to replace them is to close the road while we take out the old pipes and install the new ones,” said Earl Eberhart of DOT’s Eastern Region office.

The Stetson Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday, Aug. 13 and reopened sometime on Friday, Aug. 24. The closure area is in the general vicinity of the Call Farm on the Stetson Road. During the next two weeks, through traffic will be detoured using the Mudgett and Brann Roads, Eberhart said.
