Kyle, who was born in 1999, is a sweet, engaging child. He is a bit shy, polite, kind and has a very quiet disposition. He says he likes to go to school and look at picture books in his classroom. Kyle also enjoys reading.
Kyle is a big animal lover – dogs, cats and even reptiles are all OK with him. He loves to learn about them all at school and share his new knowledge with everyone he knows. In the summer, Kyle likes to swim and play outdoors. Kyle likes trucks, cars, motorcycles and has several Matchbox cars of each type of vehicle.
Kyle attends church each week with his current family. He enjoys Sunday school each week as well and says prayers every night before going to sleep. A family that attends church would be a good fit for Kyle.
Kyle has contact with two brothers and it would be best if that could continue in an adoptive home. The three boys enjoy playing together and get along well. Each of them listed “playing with my brothers” among their favorite activities. However, the professionals who work with the boys don’t feel an adoptive placement for all three boys together would be a good idea.
Kyle is one of the 144 children in the care of the state Department of Health and Human Services seeking an adoptive family. Based in Gardiner, A Family for ME is a nonprofit program that works in collaboration with DHHS to find foster and adoptive families for the children.
