Deputies from the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Department are investigating a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred in Hermon either late Sunday night or early Monday morning.
At least four vehicles were broken into while parked outside their owners’ residences on the Bond Road, Deputy Jay Hallett said.
The burglaries were discovered after the vehicle owners awoke Monday, he said.
Most of the owners reported that electronic equipment, primarily stereo equipment, was stolen, though the loot also include a DVD player.
Hallett reminded the public to lock their vehicles at night and not to leave valuable items within view of potential thieves. (Dawn Gagnon, BDN)
