BANGOR – Elvis impersonator Bruce Nye will be performing at the Bangor Wal-Mart this Saturday in a fundraising event to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Weather permitting, the concert will be performed 12:30-2 p.m. outdoors in a roped-off section of the parking lot. If it rains, the event will be moved indoors.

The concert is free, but donations will be accepted to help Wal-Mart raise enough money to buy an ambulance for the Children’s Miracle Network, according to Glen Rand Sr., a Wal-Mart employee helping to coordinate Saturday’s event.

Rand also suggested that people should bring their own folding chairs.
