BUCKSPORT – Opening day for kindergarten pupils at the G.H. Jewett School for will be 8:20 a.m.-2:40 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4. Lunch will be available on the first day of school, and breakfast will be available starting Monday, Sept. 10.

Kindergarten pupils and their families are invited to attend an open house 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at the school.

At Miles Lane School, opening day for grades one through four will be 8:10 a.m.-2:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4. Breakfast and lunch will be available on the first day of school.

New pupils at Bucksport Middle School should register by Aug. 31. For registration papers, visit the school, or call 469-6647 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The first day of school at Bucksport High School for first-year students will be 7:50 a.m.- 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4. All students should attend Wednesday, Sept. 5.

All students in the Bucksport school district who regularly take any medication at school must update their school medication form before it can be administered. A doctor’s note also is required, and medications must be brought to school by parents in the original container. Students are not allowed to carry medications on the school bus.
