Charleston to hold Old Home Days event

CHARLESTON – The town will hold its Old Home Days celebration Sept. 14-16. The theme this year is a Hawaiian luau. The events kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, with bingo at the Old School Building. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

CHARLESTON – The town will hold its Old Home Days celebration Sept. 14-16. The theme this year is a Hawaiian luau.

The events kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, with bingo at the Old School Building. The doors will open at 4:30 p.m.

A street dance will follow at 8 p.m. at the grounds of the Old School Building. There is a $3 cover charge for those 21 and older.

Saturday starts with a country breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m., also at the school. Events will be held throughout the day with a parade starting at 10 a.m. at the Charleston Pentecostal Church.

The Charleston Volunteer Fire Department will hold an auction at 7 p.m. To make a donation, call Steve Weinstein at 285-7790 by Thursday, Sept. 13.

Sunday will feature horse show games at 9 a.m. at Hurd’s Field on Charleston Road and an ATV rally and obstacle course with registration at 9 a.m.
