PORTLAND – The Portland Pirates announced that they will play their American Hockey League regular season game on December 18 at Alfond Arena in Orono. The Pirates, the top affiliate of the Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks, will play the Manchester Monarchs at 7:05 p.m.

Manchester is the top farm team of the Los Angeles Kings.

This is the first time in the history of the franchise that the Pirates will play a scheduled home game at a venue other than the Cumberland County Civic Center.

Tickets for the game will go on public sale starting Sept. 24 at 8:30 a.m. All tickets will be $17. Tickets can be purchased by calling the University of Maine Box Office at 581-BEAR or 1-800-756-TEAM on Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
