LINCOLN – Danielle Nicastro scored the winning goal early in the second half to lift Mattanawcook Academy past Piscataquis of Guilford 2-1 Wednesday in high school field hockey action.
Michelle Paul netted a goal late in the second half to tie the game for Mattanawcook. Sarah French made five saves on nine shots for the 2-0 Lynx.
Chelsea Ellis scored a goal for Piscataquis while Brianne Tweedie made nine saves on 17 shots for the 0-2 Pirates.
JV: PCHS 2-1
Dexter 2, Hermon 0
At Hermon, Olivia Gardner and Jess Mason each tallied a goal as Dexter shut out Hermon.
Jana Kenney grabbed a pair of assists for Dexter while Sam Conway stopped all five shots she faced for the 2-0 Tigers.
Carrie Cole stopped 18 of 20 shots for the 0-2 Hawks.

Girls soccer
Piscataquis 4, Penquis 1
At Milo, Christine Davis scored two goals as Piscataquis of Guilford rallied from a 1-0 deficit for its second win.
Samara Hooper and Cassie Tardiff also scored for the 2-0 Pirates.
Kayla Webb scored an unassisted goal for 1-2 Penquis.
Jill Martell made nine saves on 10 shots for Piscataquis. Kristyn Chapman made 16 saves on 24 shots for Penquis.
Lincoln Acad. 3, Rockland 2
At Rockland, Brooke Cheney scored the game winning goal with 14:00 remaining in the game to lift Lincoln Academy past Rockland.
Monique Sirois and Manotti Myers each added a goal for Lincoln Academy. Alex Donald made six saves on 11 shots for the 1-1 Eagles.
Baillie Boggs and Elsie Mason each netted a goal for Rockland. Joelle Joyce and Kayla McGuire combined to make 13 saves on 17 shots for the 0-2 Tigers.

Mount View 8, Medomak Val. 2
At Thorndike, Alex Pierel and Dylan Keller notched two goals apiece to lead Mount View by Medomak Valley of Waldoboro.
Derek Keller, Kiel Lemieux, Zack Mehuren and Justin Pierel each added a goal for Mount View. Ethan Jean made 10 saves on 22 shots for the Mustangs.
Alex Filho and Brian Sweeney each netted a goal for Medomak Valley. Caleb Thompson made 19 saves on 40 shots for the Panthers.
Calais 3, Shead 2
At Calais, Nathan O’Neill scored two second-half goals as the Blue Devils rallied from a 1-0 deficit to post a win.
Shead of Eastport’s A.J. Seeley scored the only goal of the first half before O’Neill and Ben Pagels scored less than a minute apart early in the second half to give Calais a 2-1 lead.
O’Neill added an insurance goal for the Blue Devils before Seeley capped off the scoring with his second goal.
Dylan Ramsdell made one save for Calais, while Nick Vinson had three saves for 0-2 Shead.
Woodland 0, Machias 0 (2OT)
At Machias, Dan Proulx made 16 saves while Michael Little stopped 14 shots as Woodland and Machias battled to a scoreless tie through two overtimes.
Proulx faced 23 shots for the 0-0-1 Dragons while Little faced 20 for the 1-0-1 Bulldogs.
Narraguagus 6, Jonesport-Beals 1
At Jonesport, Nate Best posted two goals to power Narraguagus of Harrington to the win over Jonesport-Beals.
Tom Wilson, Jean Carlos Gonzalos, Ryan Ramsey and Cameron Jordan added a goal apiece for the 1-0 Knights. Brandon Meserve had seven saves on 11 shots.
Jake Hinkler scored the lone goal for the 0-1 Royals. Josiah Duhaime saved 24 of 33 shots.
