Swoboda captures Pro Stock at ’95’

HERMON – Dale Swoboda of Hermon outran Corinna’s Paul White to win the Pro Stock feature Saturday night at Speedway 95

Town Hill’s John Phippen Jr. finished third, Duane Seekins of Stockton Springs was fourth and Doug Day of Glenburn rounded out the top five.

Oxford Plains Speedway

At Oxford, Turner’s Matt Dufault drove around David Childs with seven laps remaining and captured his first win since opening night in the Macdonald Motors Runnin’ Rebel division’s Acceleration Series race.

Oxford’s Scott Farrington was second and rounding out the top five were Mechanic Falls’ Mark Childs Jr., Turner’s Troy Jordan and Oxford’s David Childs.

Winterport Dragway

At Winterport, Michael Millett of Bradley beat Chris Fifield of Baldwin to claim the victory in the Bikes/Sleds Class.

Four races were postponed until next Sunday due to rain.

Wiscasset Raceway

Travis Benjamin of Morrill was awarded the win in the 100-lap Pro Stock feature Saturday night when Farmington’s Cassius Clark, who led from start to finish, failed to pass technical inspection after the race for excessive left-side weight.

Brunswick’s Scott Chubbuck had his third-place finish also wiped out by a left-side weight infraction.

Farmingdale’s Johnny Clark wound up second, Scott Moore of Anson took third, Derek Ramstrom of West Boylston, Mass., finished fourth and Wiscasset’s Chuck Colby was fifth.
