MACHIAS – The University of Maine at Machias will feature the works of photographer Peter Gommers, master printer Walter Tisdale and printmaker Jim Lee. The opening for the special exhibit will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Powers Hall Gallery. The exhibit will remain open through Oct. 26. Gallery hours are noon-5 p.m. weekdays or by appointment. Also, for the next eight months UMM will be showing a small part of the Hudson Museum collection of American Indian dress and masks. UMM is joining other state institutions to show this work while the Hudson Museum is closed for renovations.
