DEXTER – Three people were arrested on drug charges Wednesday during a joint investigation by the Dexter Police Department and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Andrew Rolfe, 23, of Dexter was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Paula Taylor, 36, of Dexter was charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and one count unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.
Also arrested was Trixie Nelson, 26, of Sangerville for trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Other charges may be pending.
The trio allegedly were selling drugs from a Grove Street home within 1,000 feet of a school zone, Dexter Police Chief Art Roy said Thursday. A search warrant executed at the home by the two agencies netted 8 pounds of marijuana, prescription pills and a .45-caliber handgun, he said.
Rolfe and Taylor were taken to the Dexter Police Department, posted bail and were released. Their initial court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 9 in Penobscot Superior Court.
Nelson was taken to the Penobscot County Jail where she was unable to post bail.
