ORONO – Residents affected by chronic disorders may register for a series of six workshops being sponsored by Rosscare, the long-term care affiliate of Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems.

The six sessions of “Living Well: Chronic Disease Self Management” will be offered from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on consecutive Tuesdays, Sept. 25 to Oct. 30, at Dirigo Pines retirement community in Orono. The workshops will offer support for individuals learning to cope with chronic conditions such as arthritis, diabetes, asthma, emphysema, depression and other long-term health conditions.

The workshop series is intended for anyone 18 years of age and older with a chronic health condition. Family members, friends and caregivers also are welcome to participate. The registration fee is $25; scholarships and transportation are available.
