GORHAM – Rachel Greenwood scored off a pass from Sema Kazarian at 53:36 of the second half to lift Bates College of Lewiston past Southern Maine 2-1 in a field hockey match Thursday.
Lindsey Ferguson scored in the 37th minute of the 2nd half for the 2-0-1 Bobcats, with Abby Childs picking up the assist. The 3-1 Huskies tied it up 10 minutes later, as India Lowe knocked in a Caitlin Albert pass.
Katie McEnroe had five saves on 12 shots for Bates while Allie Hill stopped three of six for Southern Maine.

At Providence, R.I., Jon Okafor scored on a Darren Howerton assist at 63:01 in the second half to break the 1-1 tie and lead Brown University past the University of Maine.
Dylan Sheehan scored an unassisted goal at 44:56 in the first half for 3-0 Maine. Paul Grandstrand stopped three of four shots.
Dimitri Anastasiou scored at 21:08 in the first off of a Nemanja Kostic assist for 1-4 Maine. Kostic blocked seven of nine shots.
