WATERVILLE – Terrence Jones collected five tackles, picked off two passes and recovered a fumble to lead the Mount Desert Island football team to a 20-14 victory over Waterville Saturday in high school action.
Danny Dunn scored a key fourth-quarter touchdown and had 12 tackles and two sacks for the Trojans. Tyler Crawford scored in the first quarter on a one-yard run and Odane Gaynor added a five-yard TD run.
Panthers’ Dan Hussey completed a 30-yard pass to Josh Gaudette and an 18-yard pass to J.D. Gurskey for touchdowns.
Waterville committed five turnovers to MDI’s zero. Despite the loss, the Panthers out gained the Trojans 316 yards to 186. Waterville completed 15 of 20 passes for 245 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

At Rockland, Sam Weiss recorded seven of Rockland’s nine touchdowns in the win.
Weiss ran for six scores and picked up another on a kickoff return at the beginning of the second half, amassing 271 yards on just 13 carries. He also caught one pass for 51 yards.
Josh Bodman ran for 40 yards, including a touchdown, and Andrew Weiss passed for 65 yards, including a 14-yard TD strike to David Searle. Nick Baudanza booted three extra points.
Douglas Richardson paced Dexter with 128 yards on 37 carries.

At Belfast, Nick Smith rushed for three touchdowns as the Crusaders topped the Mustangs of Thorndike.
Smith logged TD runs of four, three and five yards. Chase Huckestein had a 43-yard touchdown run and Kyle Gallant connected on a 20-yard pass to Ryan Moriarty for a score. Gallant also ran for a touchdown.
Waylan Millard scored on a seven-yard run for Mount View.

At Ellsworth, Brendan Wentworth scored on a direct kick with 29:19 left in the second half to tie the game for the Eagles, but neither team break the tie through two overtimes.
Greg Berry and Jordan Carter combined to make five saves on nine shots for 2-1-2 Ellsworth.
Tyler Steel scored an unassisted goal with 33:02 left in the first half for the Trojans. John Joseph blocked 12 of 14 shots.

At East Sullivan, Shane Theriault scored both goals, including the game-winner with 51 seconds left in the first half, to propel the Warriors past the Tigers.
Corey Voisine provided an assist on Theriault’s first goal for 5-3 Fort Kent. Matthew Harvey stopped nine of 15 shots.
Edgar Martinez scored on a corner kick in the first half for 1-3 Sumner. Josh Ring and Ralph Tayamora combined for 22 saves on 31 shots.
Shead 5, East Grand 0
At Eastport, A.J. Seeley and Tom Pottle each netted a pair of goals as the Tigers earned the shutout.
Mike Cummings added a goal and an assist while Caleb Ricker and Dana Mitchell each grabbed an assist for Shead. Nick Vinson made one save on three shots for the 1-4 Tigers.
Abe Brittain made nine saves on 19 shots for the 0-5 Vikings of Danforth.
Greenville 2, Vinalhaven 1
At Vinalhaven, Tony DiAngelo scored the winning goal off a T.J. St. Louis assist with 33 minutes left in the second half to get the Lakers past the Vikings.
St. Louis scored 3-2 Greenville’s first goal on a Kyle Whitman assist. Tim Post blocked 25 of 33 shots.
Keith Drury scored an unassisted goal in the first half for 2-4 Vinalhaven. Mason Hopkins made 22 saves on 27 shots.
Caribou 6, Foxcroft 1
At Caribou, Kyle Corrigan logged four goals as the Vikings cruised to the victory.
Jarryd Rossignol added two goals and two assists for Caribou. Eric Brown and Chad McCarthy combined for four saves on five shots.
Kim Kim scored a second-half goal for the Ponies. Alex Gray made 11 saves on 25 shots.

At Guilford, Rick Stewart scored two unassisted goals in the Tigers’ victory.
Chris Eastman made four saves on six shots for 4-0-1 Dexter.

At Eastport, Dorothy Pottle stopped all six East Grand shots to help Shead earn the shutout.
Robyn Stuart paced the 1-4 Tigers with two goals and an assist. Camisha Doten and Shelly Segein each added a goal while Whitney Vinson grabbed a pair of assists for Shead.
Courtney Lloyd made 15 saves on 23 shots for the 0-6 Lakers of Danforth.
Greenville 3, Vinalhaven 1
At Vinalhaven, McKenna Peat scored all three goals to lift Greenville over Vinalhaven.
Gretel Breton assisted on Peat’s first goal for the 4-1 Lakers. Lauren Fling stopped 10 of 18 shots.
Chelsea Guptill scored on a Amelia Davidson assist for the 1-3-1 Vikings. Dana-Marie Wentworth made 28 saves on 50 shots.

At East Sullivan, Marissa Albert recorded two goals and an assist as the Warriors rolled to the win.
Jamie Pelletier and Julia Bowden each contributed two goals for the 4-2-2 Warriors. Renee Daigle had a goal and an assist and Emily Pelletier scored a goal. Carissa Pelletier made two saves on four shots.
Morgan Traxler and Kaylee House combined to make 28 saves on 55 shots for the 0-4 Tigers.

At Calais, Nicole Daigle drilled a penalty kick with 10 minutes left in the first half as the Owls knocked off the previously undefeated Blue Devils.
Susan Lavertu of 8-0-1 Madawaska added an insurance goal with four minutes left in the game and Sara Schlicher stopped all six Calais shots.
Hillary Hollingdale made 10 saves on 16 shots for the 4-1-1 Blue Devils.
Caribou 6, Foxcroft 0
At Caribou, Jenna Selander scored a goal and assisted two others to lead Caribou past Foxcroft Academy.
Kristen Espling had a goal and an assist for the 5-1-1 Vikings. Amanda Cyr, Abby Small, Lydia Kieffer and Emily Collins scored. Brittany Doak blocked six of 10 shots.
Sarah Whittemore and Haley McLeod combined for nine saves on 17 shots for the 0-4 Ponies.

At Corinth, seven different players scored at least one goal apiece as the Wildcats rolled over the Red Devils of Corinth.
Katrina Whittier led 4-0-2 Presque Isle with two goals while Amy Grivois had a goal and an assist. Kayla Legassie, Sarah Porter, Amber Griffin, Kali Ireland and Carmen Allen each scored a goal. Allisen Donovan and Kelsey Park combined for 10 saves on 15 shots.
Jess Daniel stopped 15 saves on 33 shots for 1-4 Central.

At Guilford, Tori Tracy scored two second-half goals to power the Pirates past the Tigers.

Ashley Richardson made 14 saves on 18 shots for 4-2 Dexter.

At Orono, Lauren Wheeler scored a goal and assisted another as the Red Riots topped the Patriots.
Alyssa Bates and Kaile Hess added goals for 5-0 Orono and Meghan Curtis provided two assists. Brittney Pinkham made eight saves on 13 shots.
Katherine Bragg scored a first-half goal for 3-2 Bangor Christian. Moriah Bach blocked 10 of 16 shots.

At Newport, JordinMcGinnis scored a goal in each half, sparking the Warriors to victory.
Sabrina Vaillancourt also tallied an unassisted goal for 4-2 Nokomis. Beth Flanders made two saves on two shots.
Mikayla Follett made seven saves on 10 shots for 3-3 Rockland.
Old Town 5, Hermon 3
At Old Town, Cally Randall scored a pair of goals to lead Old Town by Hermon.
Sarah Wilcox netted a goal and grabbed three assists. Jenna King and Gabi Do Amaral each added a goal for Old Town. Danyle Boober made seven saves on 10 shots for the 2-3 Coyotes.
Lilian Barry tallied two goals and an assist while Katrice Bryant added a goal for Hermon. Carrie Cole made 15 saves on 22 shots for the 1-4 Hawks.
