FARMINGTON – A Farmington woman will go to prison for a year for aggravated drunken driving in an accident that killed a woman who was sitting on a disabled snowmobile.
Sarah Forbes, 44, was sentenced in Franklin County Superior Court to five years in prison, but had four of those years suspended. In an agreement Monday, Forbes pleaded guilty to drunken driving but had a manslaughter charge dropped.
Forbes was drunk when her sport utility vehicle struck and killed Lisa Cerqueira, 20, while she was on a snowmobile that had gotten stuck on the side of a road in Farmington.
