The Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District in cooperation with local landowners will be replacing about 25 stream crossings and other conservation work to improve water quality, provide better fish passage and improve fish habitat in the Narraguagus River Watershed.
Some camp and fire roads will be closed temporarily during construction, including 30-34-00, 45-41-0, 45-00-00, 45-35-3, 30-00-00 and 45-35-1. Camp owners and recreational users should be prepared for this possibility and drive slowly and carefully. Work will be completed by Sept. 30.
