CARIBOU – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with an expansive crime spree case that police cracked late last week.
Robert Suire, 25, hometown unavailable, was arrested and charged late on Thursday evening with burglary and theft in connection with the case, according to Sgt. Paul Vincent of the Caribou Police Department.
Police believe Suire is an accomplice of Richard Kish, 41, of Woodland, who police say allegedly stole merchandise over territory spanning from Caribou to St. Agatha.
Kish was arrested on Thursday afternoon and charged with “several” felony counts of burglary and theft, Vincent said.
The arrest came after law enforcement personnel from the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Department, the Caribou Police Department and the Maine State Police executed a search warrant at the Kish residence on Brown Road in Woodland.
Several pickup-truck loads of merchandise were recovered and removed from the home.
Police have been investigating the incidents since the first of the month. A wide variety of items were stolen during the crime spree, including tools and a refrigerator.
Police say many of the items were taken from homes and vehicles.
