WOODLAND – Chad James scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Woodland to a 6-2 boys soccer victory over Calais on Monday.

Cody Sappier had two goals and an assist for the 7-2-2 Dragons. Scott Boomer added a goal and two assists, and Ben Sears provided two assists. Dan Proulx turned away 13 of 15 shots.

Nathan O’Neill and Jeff Johnston scored for the 6-5 Blue Devils. Dylan Ramsdell blocked 24 of 30 shots.

WA Raiders 3, Narraguagus 1

At East Machias, Milos Gautier scored one goal and assisted on another by Nick Hickson as Washington Academy rolled to its eighth victory.

Young Gi added an unassisted tally for the 8-1 Raiders. Josiah Jackson had nine saves on 10 shots.

Dustin Gidney notched an unassisted goal for 3-7 Narraguagus of Harrington. Brandon Meserve stopped 26 of 37 shots.

Shead 4, East Grand 0

At Danforth Saturday, Mike Cummings scored two goals as the Tigers earned the win.

Dana Mitchell and Dave Medeiros each chipped in with a goal for 3-7 Shead of Eastport. Medeiros and Tyler Mitchell combined to save two of four shots.

Abe Brittain made nine saves on 25 shots for the 2-8 Vikings.

Girls soccer

Woodland 4, East Grand 1

At Woodland, Molly White scored two goals to lift Woodland over East Grand of Danforth.

Rachel Torrey had a goal and an assist for the 6-4-2 Dragons, and Cynthia Bergin added a goal. Bergin and Marlene Flaherty combined for seven saves on 10 shots.

Jackie Dodge scored a second-half goal for the 1-9 Vikings. Courtney Lloyd blocked 26 of 30 shots.

Calais 3, Shead 0

At Calais, Courtney Hill, Shannon Scarlett and Alex McVicar scored goals to lift Calais over Shead of Eastport.

Chelsea Karvia and Breanna Black provided assists for 5-4-1 Calais. Toni Cole and Hillary Hollingdale combined for six saves on eight shots.

Dorothy Pottle stopped 14 of 20 shots for 4-7 Shead.

George Stevens 4, MDI 2

At Blue Hill, Alida Peake scored three second-half goals to erase a 2-0 deficit and lead George Stevens Academy past Mount Desert Island.

Roz Brokaw added another second-half goal for the 10-0-1 Eagles. Quinn Curtin provided two assists and Emily Peake had one. Sara Gunnedal blocked four of eight shots.

Danielle Hutchins and Molly Vaux scored first-half goals for the 1-10 Trojans. Elizabeth Sargent turned away 10 of 15 shots.

John Bapst 4, Ellsworth 1

At Ellsworth, Morgan Chasse scored three goals to lift unbeaten John Bapst of Bangor to victory.

Whitney Sinclair added a goal and Catherine Lammert and Kristen Willard assists for the 7-0-3 Crusaders. Sam Maquillian had three saves on eight shots.

Jen Richter had an unassisted goal for 4-4-2 Ellsworth. Rachel Arkin blocked five of 12 shots.

Lincoln Acad. 2, Mount View 0

At Thorndike, Chloe Maxmin’s goal 11:49 into the game sparked the Eagles of Newcastle to the win over the Mustangs.

Mariotti Meyers added an insurance goal with 12:20 remaining in the first half. Alex Donald stopped all 19 shots she faced for 3-6-2 Lincoln Academy.

Annie Bryant made 13 saves on 16 shots for 2-7-2 Mount View.

Penobscot Valley 2, Penquis 1

At Howland, Lyndsay Drost scored two goals to lead Penobscot Valley past Penquis of Milo.

Jordan Falloon and Abby Hallett grabbed assists for the 4-6 Howlers. Julie Theriault had 13 saves on 18 shots.

Reba Howell scored for 1-11 Penquis. Kristyn Chapman stopped 27 of 38 shots.

Piscataquis 2, Schenck 0

At Guilford, Christine Davis had a first-half goal and Cassie Tardiff added a second-half goal to lead Piscataquis to victory over Schenck of East Millinocket.

Victoria Tracy assisted Tardiff’s goal for the 7-2-1 Pirates. Jill Martell blocked all seven shots for her seventh shutout.

Leann Toothaker made 18 saves on 20 shots for the 1-10 Wolverines.

Foxcroft 4, Dexter 3

At Dover-Foxcroft, Shee-Ann Sargent knocked in three goals as Foxcroft Academy held on for the upset.

Lauren Kousale added a goal for the 2-8 Ponies. Ashley Richardson had 10 saves on 16 shots.

Alexis Mitchell, Miranda Gove and Sarah Dominique scored for 5-4-2 Dexter. Sarah Whittemore blocked eight of 13 shots.

Greenville 1, Rangeley 0

At Greenville Saturday, McKenna Peat scored 3:07 into the game and Lauren Fling made nine saves as Greenville triumphed.

Krista Jamison made 13 saves for Rangeley.

Field hockey

Mattanawcook 1, Orono 0

At Orono, Bree Hanscom scored with 4:07 left to lift Mattanawcook Academy of Lincoln to the victory.

Deni Nicastro assisted on the decisive goal for the 10-1 Lynx. Sarah French had five saves on 12 shots.

Amber Saucier stopped four of nine shots for 4-8 Orono.

Central 3, Piscataquis 1

At Corinth, Hilary Haney knocked in two goals while Rachel Trafton added another to spark Central to the win.

Karen Pineo, Sam Morin and Roberta Trafton dished out assists for the 7-4 Red Devils. Alix Rudzinski had one save on three shots.

Alicia Quimby scored an unassisted goal for 0-11 Piscataquis of Guilford. Brianna Tweedie made eight saves on 15 shots.
