COLLEGE

Sara Winterbottom

University of Southern Maine freshman forward Sara Winterbottom was named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week for Field Hockey. Winterbottom had two goals and two assists in a 2-1 week for the Huskies.

Elisha Dorso

Husson College sophomore forward Elisha Dorso was honored as the Field Hockey Player of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Dorso scored both goals in a 2-0 win over UMaine Farmington.

Chelsea Norton

University of Maine at Farmington freshman forward Chelsea Norton was named the NAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week. Norton had four goals in a 3-0 week.

Megan LaJoie

Husson College first-year forward Megan LaJoie of Van Buren was named the NAC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Week. LaJoie totaled four goals and two assists.

Tim Millett

Freshman Tim Millett of the University of Maine at Farmington was honored as the NAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Millett finished third in the UMF Invitational with a time of 28:46 on the 8K meter course.

Kel Cenga

UMaine Farmington freshman Kel Cenga was named the Men’s Cross Country Rookie of the Week by the North Atlantic Conference. Cenga was seventh in the 8,000-meter UMF Invitational with a time of 29:04.

Emily Farley

University of Maine at Farmington sophomore Emily Farley was named the NAC Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. Farley a running standout at Mount Desert Island High School, finished fourth in the UMF Invitational with a time of 21:15 on the 5,000-meter course.

Amy Siebert

UMaine Farmington freshman Amy Siebert of Waterville was honored as the Rookie of the Week in Women’s Cross Country by the North Atlantic Conference. Siebert ran a time of 23:04, good enough for 16th in the UMF Invitational.

Josh Gallagher

Husson College first year golfer Josh Gallagher was named the North Atlantic Conference Golf Rookie of the Week. Gallagher helped Husson win the John Queenan Memorial Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph’s College. He tied for team low of 73, finishing tied for second in the tournament.

Laura Martel

University of Maine forward Laura Martel was named the America East Co-Player of the Week for Women’s Soccer. Martel scored two goals in Maine’s 4-0 win over Albany Sunday.

Greg Cox

University of Southern Maine junior midfielder Greg Cox was named the Little East Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Cox scored two goals, including the winner, in a 3-2 overtime win over Plymouth State University.
