ORONO – The public is invited to view the State Flowers queen-size quilt on display at Merrill Merchants Bank, 69 Main St., in Orono. Made by Louise Snow and machine-quilted by Dianne Hodgkins, the quilt depicts the flowers of all 50 states.

The quilt is being raffled as a benefit for the Orono Public Library Foundation’s campaign for the new library. The new library will be constructed at the corner of Pine and Birch streets in Orono and will feature an environmentally friendly design.

Raffle tickets may be purchased at the bank or at the Orono Public Library. The cost is $5 per ticket or five tickets for $20. The drawing will be Tuesday, Dec. 11.
