WOODSTOCK – A section of Route 26 in Woodstock was closed for hours on Wednesday after a crash involving trucks that were hauling logs and concrete.
Witnesses told state police that the two vehicles were headed in opposite directions when they sideswiped each other on a curve while hugging the centerline. Both trucks remained upright, but bags of concrete were strewn across the road. The logging truck’s cargo remained intact.
One driver was uninjured, but the other was taken to a Norway hospital for treatment of head lacerations and a hip injury.
