Car show and drag race slated for Winterport

WINTERPORT – Winterport Dragway will hold its sixth annual Car Show and Drag Race on Saturday.

Gates will open at 8 a.m. and registration will conclude at 11 a.m. followed by the show. There is a $5 fee to enter a car in the show. Classes include pre-1949, the Best of the ’50s, Best of the ’60s, Best of the ’70s, Best of the ’80s, Best of the ’90s, and Best of the ’00s. Mustangs and Corvettes have their own class. There will also be a Gamblers Race, swap meet and regular bracket drag racing. For more information contact Rick Palmer, track manager at 223-4786.
