HANCOCK – If 10 numbers etched on a toothpick and 50 numbers etched on the side of a Popsicle stick sound impossible to do with a chainsaw, you won’t want to miss an all-new fundraiser to benefit Robert and Mary’s Place.

Ray Murphy, chainsaw artist in Hancock, will perform the fundraising exhibition in his auditorium next to the Tideway Market, U.S. Route 1.

The exhibition will start at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, and the money raised will go to the building fund for Robert and Mary’s Place., which is a day program in Ellsworth and Machias serving elders with memory loss.

Their vision is to build a non-medical, live-in center. Recommended donations are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and those under 12 years. For more information, call Marj Bray at 667-5449 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
