ASHLAND – Whitney Flint scored two goals and assisted on another to help the Ashland girls soccer team improve to 11-0-2 with a 6-1 triumph over Van Buren Friday.

Jacky Raymond scored two goals while Mindy Chasse and Jessica Jimmo added others for Ashland. Taylor Brooker had four saves on eight shots.

Lindsay Lajoie scored for the 5-6-1 Crusaders. Jennifer Ouellette and Jamie Allen combined for four saves on 13 shots.

Lee 6, Southern Aroostook 0

At Dyer Brook, Amanda Gifford knocked in two goals while Aarika Ritchie had two goals and an assist as the 12-0 Pandas shut down the Warriors.

Lee’s Kimmy Thurlow and Morgan McGraw added a goal apiece and Carol Ann Albert two assists. Karin Bird blocked 11 of 12 shots.

Emily Cummings stopped 26 of 32 shots for 6-6 Southern Aroostook.

Hampden 2, Skowhegan 0

At Hampden, Lindsey Martin scored both goals to propel the Broncos past the Indians.

Mikki Libbey and Tara Utecht provided assists for 8-3-1 Hampden. Michelle Wells turned away two of six shots for her sixth shutout.

Crystal Johnson blocked four of 16 shots for 2-10 Skowhegan.

Bangor 2, Lawrence 1

At Bangor, Amy Hackett scored the winning goal with 1:15 left in regulation off an Erica Tweedie assist to boost Bangor past Lawrence of Fairfield.

Casey Hartley tied it at 1-1 34 minutes into the first half for 9-3 Bangor. Kortnie Hudgens stopped 15 of 23 shots.

Amy Pottle scored on a Katie Hopkins assist in the first for 7-5 Lawrence. Jess Poulin blocked 12 of 20 shots.

JV: Bangor 4-2

John Bapst 5, MDI 0

At Bar Harbor, Morgan Chasse scored three goals and assisted on two Whitney Sinclair goals as the Crusaders cruised to the win.

Catherine Lammert provided an assist for the 9-0-3 Crusaders. Sam Maquillian stopped seven of 10 shots.

Elizabeth Sargent made 14 saves on 19 shots for 1-11 MDI.

Narraguagus 2, Shead 1

At Eastport, Katie Cirone scored the tying and winning goals to lead Narraguagus of Harrington to victory over Shead.

Cirone tied it at 1-1 with 25:51 left in the first half for 2-7-3 Narraguagus and added the game-winner with 37:35 remaining in regulation. Samantha Baker made seven saves on 12 shots.

Camisha Doten scored on a Shelly Melanson assist with 30:32 left in the first for 4-8 Shead. Dorothy Pottle blocked six of nine shots.

Boys soccer

Ashland 5, Van Buren 1

At Ashland, Carl Nemer scored two goals, one in each half, to help the Hornets improve to 11-1-1.

Jeremy Tarr chipped in with a goal off a penalty kick and added an assist for the winners. Tyler Cote and Ryan Carney each contributed a goal and Jake Paradis notched an assist. Lucas Belanger and Bobby Gardiner combined for 11 saves on 13 shots.

Alex Martin scored the game’s first goal, unassisted, in the first half for 6-6 Van Buren and Patrick Vaillancourt made two saves on 14 shots.

East Grand 2, Jonesport-Beals 0

At Jonesport, Andrew Gilman and Lucas Gillis scored to lift East Grand of Danforth over Jonesport-Beals.

Abe Brittain turned away 20 of 43 shots for 3-7 East Grand.

Sid Look blocked 16 of 25 shots for 1-10-1 Jonesport-Beals.

Brewer 3, Mt. Blue 2

At Brewer, Jacob O’Donnell knocked home a corner kick from Ryan Nadeau with 8:28 remaining in regulation to give the Witches an Eastern Maine Class A victory over Mt. Blue of Farmington.

Nadeau recorded an assist on a first-half goal by Jacob Thomas for Brewer (8-3-2), while Luke Thomas scored off a Prentiss Swett pass. Chris Brady made 10 saves on 15 shots.

Ben Russell and Mustafa Sadasahan netted unassisted goals for the Cougars, who fall to 5-4-3. Devin Zamboni turned aside 15 of 21 shots.

Schenck 3, Houlton 1

At Houlton, Aaron Hutchins scored two goals to power Schenck of East Millinocket past Houlton.

Trevor Violette added a goal for the 4-6-2 Wolverines. Lanny Thompson blocked six of seven shots.

James Bates scored a first-half goal off of a Ben Austin assist for the 5-7 Shiretowners. Ryan VanBuskirk stopped seven of 10 shots.

Madawaska 4, Fort Fairfield 0

At Fort Fairfield, Nate Beaulieu scored two goals as Madawaska earned its 10th victory.

Shawn Parker tallied a goal and assist while Mike Canon added a goal for the 10-3 Owls. Nate Beaulieu had five saves on seven shots.

Austin Dufour stopped 13 of 21 shots for 10-2-1 Fort Fairfield.

Hampden 8, Skowhegan 1

At Skowhegan, Maic Frieden had a hat trick with three goals to lead Hampden Academy past Skowhegan.

Nick Beal and Harvey Shue both had a goal and an assist for the 8-3-1 Broncos. Grey Mylen, Gerald Cushing and Nick El-Hajj added goals. Brad Haase provided two assists and Cam Cox blocked three of four shots.

Eric Axelman scored with 5 minutes remaining in regulation for the 1-11 Indians. Nick Beaulieu turned away 13 of 21 shots.

Woodland 2, Shead 1

At Woodland, Chad James scored his 20th and 21st goals of the season as Woodland edged Shead of Eastport.

Scott Boomer and Corey Townsend provided assists for the 8-3-2 Dragons. Dan Proulx stopped nine of 10 shots.

Dave Madeiras scored for 3-9 Shead. Tyler Mitchell made 16 saves on 18 shots.

Machias 4, Calais 1

At Calais, Mike Little scored twice to as the Bulldogs rolled over the Blue Devils.

Matt Little and Jacob Stevens scored for 10-1-1 Machias. Justin Weaver made 25 saves on 32 shots.

Ben Pagels scored for 7-6 Calais. Dylan Ramsdell blocked 24 of 33 shots.

Field hockey

Foxcroft 3, Piscataquis 1

At Guilford, Jen Gagnon scored two goals to lead Foxcroft Academy past Piscataquis Community.

Sabrina Sharrow added a goal for the 11-2 Ponies with Kelsey Boss earning an assist. Renee Maheu had six saves on eight shots.

Chelsea Harvey scored for the 0-13 Pirates, with Kaitlin Smith assisting. Brianna Tweedie stopped 35 of 48 shots.
