CARIBOU – Kyle Corrigan scored three goals, eclipsing the school’s longstanding single-season scoring record, to help spark the Caribou boys soccer team to an 8-0 victory over Hermon Saturday in high school action.

Corrigan’s 2007 total stands at 27 goals, breaking the previous mark of 25 goals set in 1976 by Guy Cousins. Cousins is now the girls soccer coach at Hall-Dale High in Farmingdale.

Jarryd Rossignol scored three goals and assisted on four others for 11-2 Caribou, while Jon Noyes provided a goal and an assist. Danny Rush added a goal and Cameron Anderson chipped in with an assist.

Chad McCarthy made five saves on five shots.

Cory Johnson and Jerimy McIntyre combined to make 12 saves on 30 shots for the 2-9 Hawks.

Presque Isle 4, Old Town 0

At Presque Isle, Wildcats goalie Dillon Kingsbury saved all 10 Coyote shots to earn his seventh shutout and a victory over Old Town.

Russ Mortland put in two goals to power 10-1-1 Presque Isle. Scott Wilson added a goal and an assist, while Steve Carmichael scored a goal and Eric Morris provided an assist.

Ethan Shanley blocked 25 of 29 shots for the 5-7 Coyotes.

JV: Presque Isle 3-0

Bangor Chr. 5, Katahdin 2

At Bangor, Zach Kutz and Zach Welch each scored two goals and added an assist as the Patriots topped the Cougars of Stacyville.

Brandon Wilcox added a goal and an assist for 10-1-2 Bangor Christian. McLeod stopped nine of 14 shots and recorded an assist.

Marshall Davis scored both goals for 4-6-1 Katahdin. Matt Tarr made 12 saves on 25 shots.

George Stevens 2, Fort Kent 0

At Blue Hill, Adam Groves’ goal in the first minute of the game proved to be the winner as the Eagles shut down the Warriors.

Steve Ensworth added a second-half goal and Ryan Kurtz assisted Ensworth’s goal for 11-1-1 George Stevens. Rashaad Frazier stopped two of four shots for his fifth shutout.

Matthew Harvey blocked nine of 19 shots for 7-5 Fort Kent.

Girls soccer

Presque Isle 3, Old Town 1

At Presque Isle, Kayla Legassie scored all three goals to push Presque Isle past Old Town.

Sarah Porter provided two assists for the 8-2-3 Wildcats and Hannah Cheney had an assist. Allisen Donovan stopped four of five shots.

Allison Brown scored on a Elise Jordan assist in the first half for 7-5 Old Town. Annie Cashon turned away 22 of 27 shots.

JV: Presque Isle 2-0

Caribou 1, Hermon 0

At Caribou, Ali Richards scored the game-winning goal with 27:57 left in the game to propel the Vikings past the Hawks.

Kristen Espling assisted on the winner while Brittany Doak stopped eight of ten shots for 9-2-1 Caribou.

Megan Herbert made nine saves on 12 shots for 3-8-1 Hermon.

JV: Caribou 3-0

Bangor Christian 2, Katahdin 1

At Bangor, Kelley Robinson and Katherine Bragg each netted a goal in the first half as Bangor Christian edged Katahdin of Stacyville.

Bragg tallied an assist while Moriah Bach made four saves on six shots for the 9-4 Patriots.

Melissa Duffy scored a goal for Katahdin early in the game off an assist from Kali Rush. Kayla Stevens made 11 saves on 18 shots for the 6-4-2 Cougars.

Calais 3, Madawaska 0

At Madawaska, Courtney Hill scored all three goals as the Blue Devils knocked off the previously undefeated Owls.

Lauren Remington assisted Hill’s second goal for 6-5-1 Calais. Hillary Hollingdale stopped 10 of 14 shots.

Stephanie Nadeau turned away four of nine shots for 10-1-1 Madawaska.

George Stevens 3, Fort Kent 0

At Blue Hill, Maddie Park had a goal and assisted another as the Eagles moved to 12-0-1.

Quinn Curtin scored with 16:19 left in the first half off of a Roz Brokaw assist for the 12-0-1 Eagles. Park scored on a penalty kick in the second and assisted Emily Peake’s goal. Kayla Eaton stopped four of six shots for her fourth shutout and seventh for the team.

Carissa Pelletier made 11 saves on 20 shots for the 6-5-2 Warriors.

Field hockey

Camden Hills 2, Waterville 1

At Rockport, Lizzie Mitchell and Monica Doucette each scored a first-half goal to help lift the Windjammers past the Panthers.

Kate Fetterman assisted Doucette’s goal with 3:59 left in the first for 10-2-1 Camden Hills. Dale Winsper blocked six of seven shots.

Grace Skoczenski scored with 14:55 remaining in the second half for 8-5 Waterville. Kristen Tormollan turned away nine of 11 shots.

JV: Waterville 1-0
