BANGOR – Three German Tornado multirole combat fighter jets and an American KC-10 landed at the airport around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The jets were returning from training in the western United States and are expected to leave Bangor the end of this week, said Maj. Debbie Kelly, community relations manager for the 101st Air Refueling Wing in Bangor.
Approximately six members of the German Air Force and six Americans made the trip and stopped over in Bangor International Airport, Kelley said.
