The Bangor Region Chamber of Commerce will host Maine Commissioner of Education Susan Gendron, who will provide an overview of the state’s school consolidation plan at the next Early Bird Breakfast from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, at the Spectacular Event Center, 395 Griffin Road, Bangor. The cost for Chamber members is $12; nonmembers, $15. Gendron will give an update on the consolidation plan. All of the state’s school districts have filed their consolidation plans and all of central Maine’s school districts will be affected by the reorganization.
