ORONO – Paige Tortorello tallied 47 assists as Maine swept Hartford by scores of 30-27, 30-24, 30-26 for its first America East volleyball victory Friday.

Jessica Wolfenden posted 14 kills, and Lindsay Allman had 12 kills and 10 digs. Jennifer Domer chipped in with 10 kills for the 2-16 Black Bears.

Lindsay Ford posted 27 kills and Erin Macro had 11 for 7-14 Hartford.

At Orono, Holly Wiles scored the game-winning goal at 33:22 in the first half to lift 11-4 Boston University past Maine.

Rebecca Giroux made five saves on 17 shots for the 4-9 Black Bears.
