The Maine Women’s Hall of Fame will celebrate 19 years of honoring women at the Maine Women’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony to be held March 15, 2008, at the University of Maine at Augusta, and is accepting nominations for new members.
Previous recipients have been politicians, educators, philanthropists, writers, athletes, clergy and humanitarians.
Nomination forms are available from Sally Ann Parks, chairwoman for Hall of Fame, P.O. Box 84, Hinckley 04944, by calling 453-6004 or e-mailing Jeanne LaVance at pinepalsj@suscom-maine.net. Information is available at www.uma.edu/mwhof.html and www.bpwmaine.org.
Completed nomination packets must be submitted by Dec. 1.
