VAN BUREN – Lindsay LaJoie scored three goals and assisted on another and Jennifer Ouellette had a pair of goals as seventh seed Van Buren eliminated 10th seed Shead of Eastport 6-0 in an Eastern Maine Class D preliminary girls soccer game Thursday.
Kristen Vaillancourt had the other Van Buren goal with Taylor Parent picking up two assists and Marissa Ouellette notching one. Jennifer Ouellette, Trisha Gagnon and Jamie Allen combined for six saves for the 7-7-1 Crusaders.
Dorothy Pottle made 17 saves for Shead, which finished 5-10.
