United Cerebral Palsy of Maine, which raises money to assist children and adults living with disabilities, is hosting Pumpkins in the Park from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at the Bangor Auditorium.

This community Halloween party for children and families will feature a contest for Maine’s best pumpkin patch display. Pumpkins In The Park features more than 20 pumpkin patch displays designed and decorated by volunteers, mostly local youth groups.

On event day, the pumpkin patch displays are open to the public. Parents can bring their children to trick-or-treat at each patch. Awards are given to the top three displays.

The annual Halloween party for children is in its fifth year of providing a warm, safe Halloween environment for children featuring jack-o’-lanterns, hayrides, a bounce house, face painting and trick-or-treating.

For more than 50 years, United Cerebral Palsy of Maine has served children and families with disabilities including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, spina bifida, attention deficit disorder, autism and mental illnesses.
