BRUNSWICK – Ann Zeigler tallied two goals and two assists to become Bowdoin College’s all-time leading scorer in a 6-0 women’s soccer shutout of the University of Southern Maine on Tuesday afternoon.
Zeigler has posted 91 points in 56 career games to eclipse the 23-year-old mark set by Marte Holden in 1984.
Rebecca Silva, Dana Riker, Kat Whitley and Alex von Gerichten each added a goal for Bowdoin. Kelly Thomas and Kat Flaherty combined to make four saves for the Polar Bears.
Mindy Morneault and Alison Bradley combined to make 12 saves for the Huskies of Gorham.
St. Joseph’s 0, Norwich 0 (2OT)
At Standish, Saint Joseph’s College outshot Norwich University 20-6 as they dueled to a scoreless tie through two overtimes.
Katye Mayo did not have to make any saves in goal for the Monks.
Nicki Hunsicker made five saves on 20 shots for Norwich.
